Give Light. Give Hope.
Supporting the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona
Each year, the Winterhaven Festival of Lights illuminates not just our neighborhood—but also the path to a more compassionate, connected, and nourished community. For more than a decade, the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona has been our signature charitable partner, and in 2025, we’re doubling down on that partnership.

About the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona
When you give to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, you’re stepping directly into the gap for families who are struggling right now. Hunger isn’t abstract here—it affects more than 1 in 7 Arizonans, including 1 in 5 children. Last year alone, our neighbors turned to the Food Bank nearly 900,000 times, and that need continues to rise.
Behind every visit is a family trying to keep the lights on and keep food on the table. Behind every child served—more than 81,000 across 34 school pantries—is a parent doing everything they can. And for older adults, who make up 22% of those seeking help, these resources are often the difference between going without or getting by.
What the Community Food Bank accomplishes with community support is staggering. In the past year, they distributed 35 million pounds of food, including 16 million pounds of fresh produce. They drove 211,000 miles to reach rural towns. They supplied 500,000 pounds through community food drives and provided almost 500,000 emergency food boxes. More than 300 partner agencies rely on them to keep their shelves full. And during the summer months, they served 25,000 meals so kids wouldn’t go hungry when school cafeterias closed.
This work is happening everywhere—in Tucson, Nogales, Amado, Green Valley, and through 18 mobile distribution sites across five counties. It’s built for speed, dignity, and impact. And because of the Food Bank’s purchasing power, every single dollar you give can provide up to 3 meals.
Last year, the Winterhaven Festival of Lights community stepped up in a big way—34,134 pounds of food and $33,774 raised. This season, we can do even more. The need is higher. The stakes are higher. And our neighbors are counting on us.
Giving isn’t just generosity—it’s solidarity. It’s saying, “No one in our community should go hungry,” and backing it up with action. If you want to make the biggest possible difference, this is where your support does the most good.
Let’s meet this moment together. Let’s make sure Southern Arizona stays fed, healthy, and hopeful.
